April Social Announcement

Lunch and Learn:

Rethink Your Drink

At the Blackmarsh Road Dominion
Monday, April 23, 11:00-1:00 p.m.

Cost: $12.00 in advance

Think of your favourite beverage. Maybe it’s a steaming cup of coffee on a cold morning, a glass of orange juice with your breakfast, or perhaps an ice-cold Coke after a hard workout.
For me it’s a Starbuck’s Java-Chip Frappucino Grande!

Which drink do you think has the most health benefits? Water? Tea? Carrot Juice?
Join us for our April Social Meeting, as we enjoy a delicious lunch and explore the wide world of beverages. You will be amazed at how much our drink choices affect our health and well-being, and you may never look at your favourite drink the same way again. ☺

Due to the nature of this event we had to have RSVP’s and your payment by April 19th.
If you did not respond in advance, there will be no meal prepared for you, but you are still very welcome to attend.

In case you need directions on Monday or are lost, you can call 746-8897. If you need a ride, please contact Heather. She will be able to tell you who from your neighbourhood or area will be attending and could help you out.

March Social

Here are a few pictures from the March Social, just in time before the April one.
Brenda was filling in for Karen as membership person. Once you had paid your dues, you could sample the goodies and socialise. Andrea made a very nice cake which had -of all ingredients- olive oil in it paired with grapes. As odd as this sounds, it really was delicious.

Luckily Carol-Ann was well enough -after a bad cold- to facilitate the meeting together with Andrea.

Everyone was brooding over the questions posed about how we would react in certain situations, what we felt would be the closest description etc.

To Carol-Anne's surprise it turned out that all four colours are represented fairly evenly within our club, which should make for quite a dynamic group.

At the end of the interesting session, each colour group had to select a song that would fit the mood of that particular colour. So we even got to listen to musical performances.

It was a fun morning. A big "Thank you" goes to all who helped organise this meeting.
