Newcomers last hurrah for 2010:

The Second Annual Mummers Parade took place as originally planned on Saturday, December 18th, 2010, despite the fog and drizzle to the merriment of all participants and onlookers alike. Some of us showed up reluctantly, but the more Newcomers arrive the less we all minded the weather. Everybody came in from the rain - so to say - to enjoy the concert performed on the third level of The Rooms. The consensus among the Newcomers was that should actually take part in the parade next year.

January of the new year will be a month of returning: returning to health, returning from holidays, returning to normal, returning to daily duties. The craft group and day book club are taking a break, but coffee mornings are definitely on. Please join us at the coffee shop at The Rooms on Wednesdays January 5th, and 19th at 10:15 AM.

The last coffee morning of the calendar year is as always at The Rooms at 10:15 AM on Tuesday, December 22, 2010. Take advantage of visiting the interesting Museum and Art Gallery after a relaxing talk with some of our 25 members over coffee, tea or early lunch.
The Newcomers wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy and successful new year. If you are here for the holidays, do not forget the annual fireworks at Quidi Vidi Lake. The newcomers will be happy to welcome you in their midst in the new year.
